Princeton Street, and Comprised of Approximately 1.1 Acres of Land, From the Medium Intensity Residential Development Zoning District with the Wekiva Overlay District to the Industrial, General Zoning District with the Wekiva Overlay District (Life Storage Silver Star, ZON2024-10017) (Economic Development) | | Summary: | Ordinance No. 2025-5 will rezone the southern 1.1 acres of the existing Life Storage facility at 4066 Silver Star Road., from R-3B/W (Medium Intensity Residential Development, with Wekiva Overlay) to I-G/W (Industrial, General, with Wekiva Overlay), so that the zoning matches the underlying Industrial future land use designation. The owner intends to replace a storage building on the property via an Administrative Master Plan, but the existing zoning on the south end of the property won’t allow the new storage building. The applicant is Daniel Ginsburg, Stein Investment Group, for Life Storage, LP.
The Municipal Planning Board (MPB) recommended approval of the rezoning on December 17, 2024, with the City Council approving those MPB minutes on Mon. January 13, 2025. There was no opposition to the rezoning request at the December 2024 MPB meeting.
