Subject:Contract with Perkins & Will Architects, Inc. for Downtown Master Planning Services, RFQu20-0179
Summary:

A Request for Qualifications (RFQu) was issued on June 1, 2020 to select a qualified firm to provide Downtown Master Planning Services. On March 22, 2021, City Council approved the Ranking established by the Advisory Committee and authorized the Chief Procurement Officer to negotiate a contract with the top ranked firm, Perkins & Will Architects, Inc.

The Transportation Department and Procurement and Contracts Division are now requesting approval to execute a contract with Perkins & Will Architects, Inc. for Downtown Master Planning Services. All work is expected to be completed on or before December 31, 2022. The contract amount is $1,292,188 and will be funded by the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) who will also be a party to the agreement.

Perkins and Will, Inc. M/WBE Participation Plan for this contract totals 24% and is as follows:

Recommended Action:

Approving and authorizing the Chief Procurement Officer to execute a contract with Perkins & Will Architects, Inc. and the CRA, as indicated above. The final negotiated agreement will be subject to review and approval by the City Attorney’s Office.
