On July 19, 2021, City Council approved the Fiscal Year 2021 Annual Action Plan which includes $2,542,838 of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The Housing and Community Development Department is seeking approval to allocate Three Hundred Eleven Thousand Nine Hundred and Seventy Dollars ($311,970) in CDBG funds to rehabilitate  forty (40) low-income housing units at Callahan Oaks Apartments through the Orlando Neighborhood Improvement Corporation (ONIC). Fiscal Year 2021 HUD - Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding was approved on July 19, 2021 as part of the Annual Action Plan, and is incorporated in the Housing Fiscal Year 2022 Budget.

Approving and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the agreement with the Orlando Neighborhood Improvement Corporation (ONIC) in the amount of Three Hundred Eleven Thousand Nine Hundred and Seventy Dollars ($311,970) after review of the documents by the City Attorney's Office and Grants Development Supervisor. Authorizing the Mayor to satisfy the mortgage and release of restrictive covenant upon compliance with the terms of the CDBG agreement and loan documents.
