Summary:
The attached Ordinance includes amendments to Chapter 10 of the Code of the City of Orlando, extending the expiration date of the Pilot Program for Scooter Share Services from January 2, 2021 to July 31, 2021, and authorizing the operation of seated scooters on the sidewalk subject to the same regulations as standing scooters. The extension of the Pilot Program will allow additional time to collect data for use in the City's evaluation of the Program and will provide relief to the Scooter Share vendors who suspended operations during the summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic. |

Recommended Action:
Approving Ordinance No. 2020-65 on first reading, and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to bring the ordinance forward at the next available City Council meeting for second reading, hearing and adoption. |
