FY 2020/2021 Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Bulletproof Vest Partnership Award

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) has awarded the City of Orlando Police Department $35,056.00 under the FY 2020/2021 Patrick Leahy Bulletproof Vest Partnership (BPV) solicitation. These funds will be used to purchase bulletproof vests. If the award is accepted by City Council, the City's Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) will be designated to execute the acceptance using the U.S. Department of Justice's online system for processing grants, formally known as JustGrants.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: Fiscal impact statement is attached.

Recommended Action:
Approving and accepting of the grant award by City Council, subject to review by the City Attorney's Office and the Grants Development Supervisor.
