This large scale GMP amendment will amend the future land use boundaries on the 243-acre property currently undergoing Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) remediation, and amend Subarea Policy S.39.5.
The Industrial future land use area will increase from ±88.5 ac to ±194.4 ac; and Conservation area will decrease from ±154.5 acres to ±48.6 acres, (which is 20% of the property). Subarea Policy S.39.5 will increase allowable industrial development to 3.388 million sq. ft.
On May 26, 2020, the Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the GMP amendment and related PD amendment (Case# GMP2020-10006 and ZON2020-10002). The first reading of this item was Aug. 10, 2020.
