OUC Lighting Service Agreement for Bob Carr Plaza

Summary:
An agreement with Orlando Utilities Commission [OUC] to provide energy and maintenance service to the renovated Bob Carr Plaza area.  Through a previous agreement the Community Redevelopment Agency [CRA] has already funded the new lights fixtures and installation costs [$56,788.00, Proj#: CRA_0021_P].  This agreement will add the energy and maintenance costs for the new lights to the existing streetlight account [OUC# 1053500001, Project # TRE_0002_C[.  The city will pay for the energy and maintenance expenses for the new lighting.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data:

This lighting agreement is part of the Bob Carr Plaza renovation project that is being  funded by the CRA. [Project # CRA0021_P].  The new light fixtures and their installation costs [$56,788.00] are included in the project budget and have already been paid.

The city will be responsible for the energy and maintenance costs of the new plaza light fixtures. The new fixtures in the Bob Carr Plaza will be connected to the existing streetlight controller.  The energy and maintenance costs for the new plaza lights will be added to the existing OUC streetlight account #1053500001, city project number TRE0002_C. The approx. cost will be $1,888 / yr.  The cost center manager is Cesar D. Leirias.

Approval of this OUC SERVICE AGREEMENT FOR LIGHTING SERVICE WO# will authorize the installation of the new lights by OUC and the add the energy and maintenance costs of the new plaza lights to the existing streetlight account.


Recommended Action:
Approval of the attached Service Agreement for Lighting Service and authorization for the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem and City Clerk to execute same, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office.
