Summary:
Over the last two years, the Community Redevelopment Agency has purchased over 400 snowflake decorations for placement on light poles within the Downtown CRA Area. Staff is recommending additional snowflake lights be purchased for the 2019 holiday season. The recommended lights are the same 42” custom snowflake lights constructed of powder coated aluminum and pure white LED lights, which are solely manufactured by Blachere Illumination. Staff recommends purchasing an additional 235 units for a total price, including packing and shipping, of approximately $185,155.00. These lights would be displayed in various high-traffic corridors throughout downtown, including, but not limited to, Orange Avenue and Rosalind Ave. |

Recommended Action:
Authorize the City’s Chief Procurement Officer to issue a purchase order to Blachere Illumination USA, Inc. in the amount of approximately $185,155.00, subject to the review and approval of the City Attorney’s Office. |
