Summary:
This zoning amendment is to change approximately 1,169.4 acres from No City Zoning to Planned Development zoning district with the Airport Noise overlay district, in part, and Planned Development district with the Airport Noise overlay district and the Resource Protection overlay district, in part. The change will accommodate a maximum of 2,734 residential units, 100,000 square feet of non-residential floor area, plus a community park area, fire station, and a school.
On September 18, 2018, the Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the zoning amendment (Case #ZON2017-00011). The MPB also approved an associated GMP request for new development of 4,800 residential dwelling units and 2,400,000 square feet of commercial uses (Case # GMP2017-00012 and GMP2017-00013) for the entire Poitras Property.
The GMP request will be part of a separate ordinance on this City Council agenda. |
