Summary:
This large scale GMP amendment is to change approximately 1854.30 acres from Urban Village to Conservation, in part, and from Conservation to Urban Village, in part. The change will accommodate a maximum of 4,800 residential dwelling units and 2,400,000 square feet of commercial uses, which may include retail, office, services, industrial, warehousing, “flex” space, and high-technology land uses.
On September 18, 2018, the Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the GMP amendment (Case # GMP2017-00012 and GMP2017-00013). The MPB also approved an associated PD request for new development of 2,734 residential units, 100,000 square feet of non-residential development, a community park area, a fire station, and a school (Case #ZON2017-00011) for the eastern portion of the property.
The PD request will be part of a separate ordinance on this City Council agenda.
