Ordinance No. 2018-64 Amending the Dr. Phillips Center Planned Development's Master Sign Plan (Economic Development)
Summary:

A request to amend the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center (DPAC) master sign plan contained in the Planned Development Ordinance has been filed to make a minor amendment for the School of the Arts signage on the southern façade of the building.  The sign modifications are contemplated as a change of the signs to accommodate the rebranding of one of the donors, Advent Health (formerly Florida Hospital), and better denote the building.  The project is located at 445 S. Magnolia Ave., Orlando, FL.

An attached planning official determination outlines the analysis and conditions proposed for this approval, which is required for Regional Public Facility Identification Signs in Section 64.320 of the Sign Code.  The master sign plan for the Dr. Phillips Center, attached as Exhibit D to the Planned Development Ordinance, will be modified should the Council approve this minor amendment.

Copies of a draft ordinance, exhibits, and copies of the original Planned Development Ordinance and Master Sign Plan (Exhibit D) are attached to this council item for reference.

Recommended Action:
Approval of Ordinance No. 2018-64 on first reading and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to present the attached ordinance for second reading, hearing and adoption at the next regularly scheduled City Council meeting.
