Release of Mortgage and Restrictive Covenant executed by Center for Multicultural Wellness & Prevention, Inc. in 2008

Summary:
The City of Orlando entered into an agreement with the Center for Multicultural Wellness & Prevention, Inc. (CMWP) to provide Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($350,000) in Community Development Block Grant funds to acquire the property located at 641 N. Rio Grande Avenue, Orlando, Florida, 32805.  The City recorded the executed Mortgage and Restrictive Covenant on February 13, 2008.  CMWP has fulfilled the requirements of the agreement by using the property for the past five (5) years as a facility to serve and support youth and families.  Staff is requesting City Council's approval to cancel the note, release and discharge CMWP's property from the lien and operation of said mortgage and restrictive covenant.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: No Fiscal Impact.

Recommended Action:
Approve and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to cancel the note, execute the Release of Mortgage, and release the Restrictive Covenant after review of the documents by the City's Attorney's office.
