Release of Mortgage and Restrictive Covenant executed by Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Inc. in 2009

Summary:
The City of Orlando entered into an agreement with Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Inc. to provide Two Hundred Five Thousand Six Hundred Forty-Seven Dollars ($205,647) in Community Development Block Grant funds to upgrade and improve Coalition's residential homeless shelter located at 639 West Central Boulevard, Orlando, Florida, 32801.  The City recorded the executed Mortgage and Restrictive Covenant on February 19, 2009.  Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Inc. has fulfilled the requirements of the agreement by using the property for the past five (5) years as a homeless shelter.  Staff is requesting City Council's approval to cancel the note, release and discharge Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Inc.'s property from the lien and operation of said mortgage and restrictive covenant.  

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: No Fiscal Impact.

Recommended Action:
Approve and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to cancel the note, execute the Release of Mortgage, and release of Restrictive Covenant after review of the documents by the City Attorney's office.
