Summary:
The Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) is a formula grant that provides funding for local initiatives, technical assistance, training, personnel, equipment supplies, contractual support and information systems to support law enforcement programs. The City of Orlando Police Department (OPD) has been allocated $176,139.00 for FY 2018. OPD plans to use this grant to replace approximately 24 portable radios that are due for replacement. The State of Florida Department of Management Services in their Public Safety Radio Communications Plan recommends replacement of radios after 6 years. |
