Two-Year Employment Agreement - Project Management Division - Adam Walosik, Construction Manager I

Summary:

The Project Management Division is responsible for providing project related and construction management services for City infrastructure projects. All current full time staff members are fully committed to projects already under construction. Upcoming construction projects will require additional staffing for construction management services on a short term basis.

Currently we have three Contract Construction Managers positions each with a contract duration of two years. The current contract with Mr. Adam Walosik will expire in September, 2018. Throughout the past contract period, Mr Walosik has provided valuable service and the Public Works Department desires to retain this employee for two additional years. All of these positions are included and funded in the FY 2017/2018 through FY 2019/2020 budgets as full-time, contract positions. The agreement with Mr. Walosik is structured for a two-year period, beginning on September 7, 2018 and ending September 6, 2020.


Fiscal & Efficiency Data: Cost is budgeted in Cost Center CIP0004-C, Project Management Division.

Recommended Action:
Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the subject agreement with Adam Walosik, Construction Manager as noted above subject to review and approval of the City Attorney's Office.
