Subject:
Amendment to the City of Orlando's current Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) covering FY 2015-2016 through 2017-2018

Summary:

The Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) details the City's plans for expending SHIP funding (made available by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation) for a period of three fiscal years. On April 16, 2018 the LHAP covering FY 2018-2019 through 2020-2021 was approved by the City Council.

In an effort to align the current LHAP (2015-2018) with the recently approved new LHAP (2018-2021), we have prepared an amendment to the current Plan. In order to finalize the amendment process, the State of Florida requires the City to adopt a Resolution covering the LHAP, and to provide a certification acknowledging the compliance requirements of the SHIP program.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: No fiscal impact.

Recommended Action:

(1) Adopt the LHAP amendment and accompanying Resolution.

(2) Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the Resolution and SHIP Certification, subject to review and approval of the City's Attorney's Office.
