The attached ordinance amends the zoning district from Conservation with the Wekiva Overlay District (C/W) to Urban Activity Center with the Wekiva Overlay District (AC-2/W) and from Holding with the Wekiva Overlay District (H/W) to Conservation with the Wekiva Overlay District (C/W). The subject property is located south of Silver Star Road, west of North John Young Parkway and north of West Princeton Street and is approximately 18.44 acres. The property is currently vacant and the site is proposed for three commercial outparcels and associated stormwater ponds.
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the associated GMP amendment (GMP2017-10018), this proposed zoning amendment and the master plan request for the three commercial outparcels and the associated stormwater ponds along W. Princeton Street as well as approximately 176,025 sq. ft. of warehouse/distribution use along N. John Young Parkway (MPL2017-10026). The GMP amendments are included in the Ordinance 2018-35, the summer cycle of amendments, which has its second reading on this Council agenda.
