Use of the City of Tallahassee Contract with Beck Auto Sales, Inc. for the Purchase of Thirty (30) Vehicles, C18-0442
Summary:
The Fleet Management Division is requesting to utilize City of Tallahassee Contract #3921 with Beck Auto Sales, Inc., of Palatka, Florida, for the purchase of thirty (30) vehicles in the total amount of $831,466.09.  Vehicles include twelve (12) Ford F-Series Trucks, one (1) Ford Explorer, one (1) Ford Escape, twelve (12) Ford Police Interceptors, one (1) Ford Transit Cargo Van and three (3) Chevrolet Colorado Trucks.
 
These thirty (30) vehicles will supplement the current City Fleet, and will support the operational functions of various City Divisions.

To meet immediate needs, these vehicles are being ordered from the dealer’s current on lot inventory.  City certified M/WBE firms were contacted multiple times to confirm if existing and available inventory matched the City’s requirements.  Based on available inventory, fourteen (14) Ford vehicles are being purchased from Tropical Ford Inc., a City certified MBE firm.

Recommended Action:
Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to utilize City of Tallahassee Contract #3921, with Beck Auto Sales, Inc., as indicated above, and issue a Purchase Order in the amount of $831,466.09.
