Summary:
Commissioner Ings would like to contribute not more than $9,200 from District 6 funds to augment funding available under the City's SHIP program. These funds will be used for emergency repairs and rehabilitation of a home located at 4186 Kirkland Blvd. in District 6. The homeowner has been approved for assistance under the City's SHIP program. The emergency repairs and rehabilitation required exceed the maximum $75,000 in assistance that is available under the SHIP program. The additional funds provided from District 6 will fund a portion of the costs of emergency roof repairs.

This expenditure, providing for the rehabilitation of affordable housing in the City, serves an important public purpose in District 6 and within the entire City.
Fiscal & Efficiency Data: Funds are available in the District 6 capital project account. 
Recommended Action:

Approve a not to exceed $9,200 contribution from District 6 funds to augment funding available under the City's SHIP-funded owner occupied housing rehabilitation program for repairs to the home at 4186 Kirkland Blvd. in District 6.
