Summary:
For property approximately 1.08 acres in area, generally located north of E Livingston Street, east of N Magnolia Avenue, and south of E Amelia Street, Ordinance Number 2018-41 does the following:
- Amends the City's Growth Management Plan (GMP) to change the Future Land Use Map designation from Office High Intensity, in part, and Residential Medium Intensity, in part, to Downtown Activity Center;
- Further amends the GMP to establish a new subarea policy (S.14.18) for the subject property to address height transition to the Lake Eola Heights Historic District to the east;
- Change the subject property's zoning designation from O-3/T, in part, MXD-1/T/HP, in part, and R-2B/T/HP, in part, to AC-3A/T, in part, and AC-3A/T/HP, in part.
These proposed changes will allow for the development of a 240-room hotel with 3,290 square feet of ground floor commercial uses.
The Municipal Planning Board (MPB) recommended approval of the requested actions (GMP2018-10011, GMP2018-10012, and ZON2018-10005) on May 15, 2018. A master plan will be reviewed at a future MPB meeting.
The target date for the adoption hearing of this ordinance is July 9, 2018. |
