Summary:
The Fleet Management Division is requesting to purchase thirty-four (34) vehicles from Rush Truck Centers of Florida, Inc., of Orlando, Florida, in the total amount of $960,361.00.  Vehicles include thirty-one (31) Ford F-Series Trucks, one (1) Ford Explorer and two (2) Ford Transit Cargo Vans.
 
These thirty-four (34) vehicles will supplement the current City Fleet, and will support the operational functions of various City Divisions.

To meet immediate needs, these vehicles are being ordered from the dealer’s current on lot inventory.  City certified M/WBE firms were contacted multiple times to confirm if existing and available inventory matched the City’s requirements.  Based on available inventory, fourteen (14) Ford vehicles are being purchased from Tropical Ford Inc., a City certified MBE firm.

Recommended Action:
Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to purchase thirty-four (34) vehicles from Rush Truck Centers of Florida, Inc., as indicated above, and issue a Purchase Order in the amount of $960,361.00.
