Use of the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract with Alan Jay Fleet Sales for the Purchase of Forty-five (45) Vehicles, C18-0441
Summary:
The Fleet Management Division is requesting to utilize National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract #2018-120716-NAF with Alan Jay Fleet Sales, of Sebring, Florida, for the purchase of forty-five (45) vehicles in the total amount of $1,205,362.00.  Vehicles include one (1) Ford F-Series Truck, five (5) Ford Explorers, four (4) Ford Escapes, seven (7) Ford Police Interceptors and twenty-eight (28) Toyota Camry Hybirds, 
 
These forty-five (45)  vehicles will supplement the current City Fleet, and will support the operational functions of various City Divisions.

To meet immediate needs, these vehicles are being ordered from the dealer’s current on lot inventory.  City certified M/WBE firms were contacted multiple times to confirm if existing and available inventory matched the City’s requirements.  Based on available inventory, fourteen (14) Ford vehicles are being purchased from Tropical Ford Inc., a City certified MBE firm.

Recommended Action:
Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to utilize National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract #2018-120716-NAF, with Alan Jay Fleet Sales, as indicated above, and issue a Purchase Order in the amount of $1,205,362.00.
