Summary:
The City owns vacant property consisting of 21,675 square feet, located at 121 West Copeland Drive on the Orlando Health Campus, "Property." OUC has historically utilized the Property for its operations but currently leases the Property to Orlando Health for employee parking pursuant to a Lease Agreement, dated April 21, 1997. In August, 2016, OUC and Orlando Health entered into an amendment to the Lease Agreement, giving Orlando Health the option to purchase the Property. Orlando Health recently exercised the option and OUC has now requested that the City approve the sale and authorize execution of the deed. OUC obtained two appraisals for the Property and the parties have agreed on a fair market value sales price of $833,500.00. The City is not a party to the Agreement, attached for reference purposes only, and is not approving any of its terms, but the Property is held in the name of the City of Orlando and as such requires the City's execution of the conveyance documents at closing to ensure marketable title. |
