Utility Work by Highway Contractor Agreement between City of Orlando and Florida Department of Transportation

Summary:

The Florida Department of Transportation is constructing improvements to Kirkman Road from Sand Lake Road to the East/West Expressway, "Improvements."  The City operates a wastewater line within the Kirkman Road right-of-way that must be relocated to accommodate the Improvements.  The City requested that FDOT construct, at the City's cost, the City's utility relocation work as part of the Improvements and FDOT has agreed to do so.  The estimated cost of the City's utility relocation work is $470,528.00.

Recommended Action:
Approval of the attached Agreement, Resolution and Escrow Agreement and authorization for the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem to execute same, all subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office.
