Summary:
The attached ordinance will annex the subject property, assigning the Residential Low Intensity future land use designation and initial zoning of R-2A/T for property located at 2606 S. Brown Avenue, which located north of E. Michigan Street, east of Mayer Street, south of E. Crystal Lake Avenue and west of S. Brown Avenue and is approximately 0.323 acres. The property is currently developed with one single family house and is being annexed for the connection to City sewer. No redevelopment has been proposed. The subject property is contiguous to the City limits and is reasonably compact. If annexed, the property will not create an enclave.
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the annexation (ANX2017-10002), the GMP amendment to assign Residential Low Intensity future land use designation (GMP2017-10009) and the initial zoning of R-2A/T (ZON2017-10002) on February 20, 2018.
