Amendment to Contract with SecurAmerica, LLC for Armed and Unarmed Security Guard Services, RFP11-0035
Summary:

On April 11, 2011, City Council approved the award of a contract with SecurAmerica, LLC to provide armed and unarmed security guard services where needed.  The current contract does not have additional renewal terms and a solicitation will be issued soon resulting in a new contract.

This contract is used City-Wide. To provide continuity of this critical service, Parking Division, the primary user of this contract is requesting that the contract be extended through July 31, 2018 to allow time to complete the solicitation process and contract execution.  SecurAmerica, LLC has agreed to extend the contact at existing rates and charges.  The estimated expenditure for the extension is $425,040.00.

SecurAmerica, LLC agrees to continue to support the M/WBE goals during the contract extension period through July 31, 2018.  SecurAmerica's M/WBE participation is currently 16.22% for MBE and 6.06% for WBE.

Recommended Action:

Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to execute an Amendment to extend the contract with SecurAmerica, LLC of Atlanta, GA, as indicated above, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney’s Office.
