Summary:

Water Reclamation Division and Procurement and Contracts Division are requesting approval to purchase rehabilitation services of automatic backwash filters from MKI Services of Lake Mary, Florida in the amount of $1,053,000.00.  The six automatic backwash filters at Conserv II to be refurbished remove the remaining fine solids from the secondary effluent prior to disinfection for reclaim distribution.

Suez Treatment Solutions Inc. is the wastewater equipment manufacturer.  MKI Services is the sole source representative for parts, components and services for Suez Treatment Solutions Inc. in the State of Florida.  

M/WBE is not applicable due to the fact that this is a sole source procurement.

Recommended Action:
Approval of award to MKI Services and authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to enter into an agreement as indicated above in the estimated amount of $1,053,000.00, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office.
