Summary:
Attached is a petition for the voluntary annexation for the Fern Creek properties. The subject property is generally located south of E. Grant Street, west of S. Fern Creek Avenue, north of Page Avenue and east of S. Shine Avenue. The site is approximately 1.81 acres. The subject site currently has the unincorporated Orange County future land use designation of Low Medium Density Residential and is zoned R-2.
The applicant is requesting the City’s future land use designation of Residential Low Intensity (GMP2018-10001) and initial zoning of R-2A/T (ZON2018-10001). The applicant has requested the annexation for the connection to City sewer and the development of single family and tandem single family on six lots. The subject property is contiguous to the City limits and is reasonably compact. If annexed, the property will not create an enclave. |

Fiscal & Efficiency Data:
The fiscal impact statement will be submitted with the ordinance for annexation, pending City Council’s acceptance of this petition for annexation.

Recommended Action:
Direct the City Attorney to prepare an annexation ordinance for consideration by City Council and authorize staff to initiate a Growth Management Plan (GMP) amendment and initial zoning for the subject property. |
