The Procurement and Contracts Division and Family, Parks and Recreation Department have evaluated these bids and recommend award to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidders; GroundTek of Central Florida, of Ocoee FL, for Zone A and Zone C, and Crew Labor Maintenance Management Corp, of Sanford, FL, for Zone B.
The initial contract term is three (3) years with an option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year terms. This is an indefinite quantity contract. Actual expenditures will vary as usage will be on an as-needed basis at the established unit prices and available funding. Based on prior usage reports and information provided by the primary user, the estimated expenditure for the initial three year term is $3,101,332.50 ($2,862,171 for base bid amount of Zones A, B and C plus $239,161.50 for anticipated extra work items).
The bid submitted by GroundTek of Central Florida for Zone B, with the financial reasonableness formula of 1% applied, is higher than the bid submitted by Crew Labor Maintenance Management Corp by $5,098.47. The MBE and Blueprint Division is working with Groundtek and Crew Labor Maintenance in securing M/WBE participation in support of this project.
