Water Reclamation Division is requesting to utilize Toho Water Authority Contract IFB15-065 with USSI, LLC, of Venice, FL, for the purchase of smoke testing, water abatement program, and repair of broken cleanouts with patented cleanout plug to prevent in-flow.

The current contract term is effective through May 26, 2018 and there is the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period.  This is an indefinite quantity contract.  Actual expenditures will vary as usage will be on an as-needed basis at the established unit prices and available funding.  Based on prior usage reports and information provided by the primary user, the estimated annual expenditure is $200,000.00.

The City does not utilize other agencies’ contracts when there are opportunities for City-certified M/WBE firms to participate.  The M/WBE office has reviewed the subject procurement and has determined that there were no City-certified M/WBE firms that are able to provide the subject goods or services.

Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to utilize the Toho Water Authority Contract with USSI, LLC as indicated above in the estimated annual amount of $200,000.00, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney’s Office.
