On November 4, 2013, City Council approved a funding agreement between the City of Orlando and United Against Poverty, Inc., formerly known as Kingdom Harvest, Inc., for $400,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for building acquisition and expansion of services.

The referenced property is subject to a first mortgage with Bank of America; the mortgage has been in place since 2013 and has a balloon payment coming up in 2019. United Against Poverty, Inc. wishes to refinance with Seacoast National Bank for a 15-year term to eliminate the balloon payment due in 2019 and lower its interest rate. There will be no equity out as a result of the refinancing. The City's CDBG mortgage will remain in the same lien position. |
