Summary:
The attached ordinance amends the Future Land Use designation from Office High Intensity to Downtown Activity Center and creates subarea policy S.14.18 for the redevelopment of the site. The subarea policy establishes the maximum/minimum density and intensity, establishes prohibited uses, adds personal storage as an allowed use and establishes design principles.
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval to amend the Future Land Use designation from Office High Intensity to Downtown Activity Center (GMP2017-10015), create a subarea policy S.14.18 for the redevelopment of the site (GMP2017-10016) and planned development zoning for a framework PD (ZON2017-10008) on November 21, 2017. The PD zoning ordinance is a separate item on this meeting agenda. The applicant has submitted a master plan application (MPL2017-10029) for the development of a three store building with 11,914 sq. ft. of retail and restaurant with a drive through and an office for the 96,907 sq. ft. personal storage on the 2nd and 3rd floors, along with parking, drives, dumpsters and loading areas. The master plan is still undergoing review. |
