Summary:
The attached ordinance will amend the Growth Management Plan’s Future Land Use Map Designation from Residential Low Intensity to Office Low Intensity and rezone the 0.21-acre property from R-2A/T/W/SP/AR (1-2 Family Residential Zoning District with the Traditional City, Wekiva, Specially Planned Area, and Appearance Review Overlay Districts) to O-1/T/W/SP/AR (Office and Residential Zoning District with the Traditional City, Wekiva, Specially Planned Area, and Appearance Review Overlay Districts) on the city’s official zoning maps. The property is generally south of Rugby St., west of Ann Arbor Ave. and east of Edgewater Dr. The applicant is Karen Consalo.
The proposed development includes an approximately 1,500 sf dental office and two residential units on the second floor. Development will require an Appearance Review.
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the GMP amendment and rezoning on November 21, 2017. The City Council approved the November MPB minutes on the Council agenda on December 11, 2017. The first reading of the ordinance occurred at the City Council meeting on January 8, 2018. |
