Ordinance No. 2018-7 amending Land Development Code Chapter 64 to clarify the standards for signage on regional facilities. (Economic Development)
Summary:

The attached ordinance amends Land Development Code Section 64.320, which relates to signage for regional public facilities. The ordinance includes the following changes:

  • Clarify the allowable location of privately-owned regional facilities that are eligible for regional signage
  • Clarify that public schools qualify as regional public facilities
  • Provide standards for review of public school signage

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the LDC amendment on November 21, 2017 (LDC2017-10012).  The adoption ordinance will be scheduled for the next available City Council meeting.

Recommended Action:
Approve the attached ordinance number 2018-7 on first reading and request that the Mayor and City Clerk present the draft ordinance for second reading and public hearing at the next City Council Meeting.
