Amendment to Contract with SecurAmerica, LLC for Armed and Unarmed Security Guard Services, RFP11-0035
Summary:

On April 11, 2011, City Council approved the award of the subject contract with SecurAmerica, LLC to provide armed and unarmed security guard services where needed. A new solicitation is in the process of being finalized and will be issued soon.

To provide continuity of this critical service, Parking Division, the main user of the contract, is requesting that the contract be extended through January 31, 2018 to allow time for the solicitation process and contract execution. SecurAmerica, LLC has agreed to extend the contract at the existing rates and charges. The estimated expenditure for the extension is $300,000.00.  This contract is used City Wide with Parking Division as the primary user. 

SecurAmerica, LLC agrees to continue to meet the M/WBE goals during the contract extension period.

Recommended Action:

Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to execute an Amendment to extend the contract with SecurAmerica, LLC, of Atlanta, GA, as indicated above, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office.
