FY 2017 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funding Agreement between the City of Orlando and Housing and Neighborhood Development Services of Central Florida, Inc.

Summary:

On July 24, 2017, City Council approved, as part of the FY 2017 Annual Action Plan, a request from Housing and Neighborhood Development Services of Central Florida, Inc. (HANDS), for CDBG funding in the amount of Fifty-Seven Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty-Five Dollars ($57,225).  Funding will support a homebuyer's club in the Parramore neighborhood.  The program will provide mass education meetings and private individual credit counseling sessions to current and prior residents of the Parramore Heritage neighborhood.  


Fiscal & Efficiency Data:

FY 2017 HUD - Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding was approved on 7/24/2017 as part of the Annual Action Plan.


Recommended Action:

Approve and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the agreement with HANDS in the amount of Fifty-Seven Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty-Five Dollars ($57,225) after review of the documents by the City Attorney's Office and Grants Development Supervisor.
