Ordinance 2017-61 Amending the Development Program for the Education PD located West of Narcoossee Road, South of SR 417 and North of Tyson Road (Education Village PD Amendment) (Economic Development)
Summary:

The attached ordinance is a PD amendment applies to ±220.2 acres of property located west of Narcoosee Road, south of SR 417, and north of Tyson Road known as the Education Village PD.  The PD amendment revises the Southeast Sector Plan designation from Village Center to Airport Support District – Medium Intensity for approximately 39.87 acres within the Education Village PD.  The amendment also revises the development plan to reduce the residential to 400 units, add 350,000 square feet of light industrial, and 75,000 square feet of civic/recreation uses.

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the PD amendment (ZON2017-000015) on July 18, 2017.  The City Council approved the first reading of this ordinance on October 23, 2017.

Recommended Action:

Adopt the attached ordinance number 2017-61 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney.
