Ordinance No. 2017-57 amends the Lake Nona Planned Development to increase the maximum building height for property located south of Dowden Road, east of Boggy Creek Road, and west of Narcoossee Road (Economic Development)

Summary:

Ordinance Number 2017-57 amends Section Three, Part E of the Lake Nona Planned Development (PD) Zoning District Regulations to allow a maximum building height of sixteen (16) stories for Parcel 22a, which is comprised of +/- 176 acres of property. The Lake Nona PD is generally located north of the Orange-Osceola County Line, south of Dowden Road, east of Boggy Creek Road, and west of Narcoossee Road.

The applicant is proposing a hotel in the town center area, which may be up to 16 stories tall.

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval for this PD amendment (ZON2017-00019) on August 15, 2017.

Recommended Action:
Approve the attached ordinance number 2017-57 on first reading and request that the Mayor and City Clerk present the draft ordinance for second reading and public hearing at the next regular City Council meeting.
