Summary:
The Mental Health Association of Central Florida was established in 1946 with a mission of compassion, advocacy and assistance to people with mental illness; and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Greater Orlando was established in 1986, and is an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and supporting families affected by mental illness through education, support and advocacy.
Mayor Dyer will call on Marcia Hope Goodwin, Chief Service Officer and Director, who will introduce Candice Crawford, CEO/President, the Mental Health Association of Central Florida and Eric Welch, Executive Director, NAMI Greater Orlando, for a brief overview before the Mayor reads the proclamation. A photo will be taken with the Mayor, Candice Crawford, Eric Welch and the Mental Health Association of Central Florida and NAMI Greater Orlando representatives. |
