Summary:
The attached ordinance applies to ±7.07 acres of property located west of North Frontage Road, north of McCoy Road, and east of S. Conway Road. The ordinance will:
- Annex the subject property;
- Amend the Growth Management Plan by assigning the Metropolitan Activity Center future land use designation to the subject property; and
- Amend the Official Zoning Map by assigning the AC-3/AN zoning designation to the subject property.
City Council accepted a petition for the voluntary annexation of this property on July 10, 2017. The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the annexation (ANX2017-00009), the GMP amendment (GMP2017-00016), and initial zoning (ZON2017-00020) on August 15, 2017.
The subject property was previously an airport parking business. The applicant is proposing an expansion of an existing airport parking development that is immediately east of the subject site.
The subject property is contiguous to the City limits. If annexed, the property will not create an enclave. The proposed annexation meets all requirements under Chapter 171, Florida Statutes. Unless appealed, all three actions will be effective 31 days after adoption. |
