Summary:
In 2013, the City of Orlando received a multi-year grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) via Volunteer Florida, to fund the Orlando Partnership for School Success (O-PASS). The program recruits and deploys 32 full time AmeriCorps members to approximately 8 middle school and City after school sites, where they offer tutoring and mentoring services to middle school aged children.
The O-PASS grant helps fund administrative positions, including that of Amalia Herrera, Administrative Assistant - Contract. By approving the attached contract, the City will ensure administrative/clerical support to coordinate the O-PASS grant. In her capacity as Administrative Assistant, Ms. Herrera will assist in the collection and preparation of program data for performance reports; AmeriCorps members’ professional development and training plans; and monthly data reports and formative / summative evaluations, while also providing clerical support to Project Coordinator. |
