Employment Agreement - LaTippinea Campbell, PKZ Lead Student Advocate

Summary:

On May 23, 2016, the Orlando City Council approved an annual employment contract with Ms. LaTippinea Campbell to serve in the capacity of Lead Student Advocate for Parramore Kidz Zone (PKZ). 

This item authorizes a one year renewal of Ms. Campbell's employment contract, so that she can continue to provide direct academic success services to youth in close alignment with the school they attend. The primary goal is to increase the number of Parramore Youth who successfully transition from elementary to middle school, from middle to high school, graduate from high school, and achieve post-secondary credentials that will enhance their future employment and income projects. 

This position is fully budgeted in FPR's annual budget.

Recommended Action:

Approve the attached Employment Agreement with Ms. LaTippinea Campbell and authorize signature by the Mayor/Mayor Pro Tem and City Clerk, subject to satisfactory review by the City Attorney's Office.
