Summary:

Orlando Fire Department is requesting to utilize Broward County Sheriff's Contract with Motorola Solutions Inc., of Schaumburg, Illinois, for the purchase of ninety-one (91) Motorola APX6500 and fifteen (15) APX7500 Mobile Dash Mounted Radios and installation in the amount of $504,641.81.  These radios are replacing existing radios that have passed maximum life expectancy and are used to communicate with OFD dispatchers and with hospitals.

 

 M/WBE is not applicable.

Recommended Action:

Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to utilize the Broward County Sheriff's Contract with Motorola Solutions, Inc. as indicated above in the amount of $504,641.81, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney’s Office.
