Order Approving Rescission of Metrowest DRI Development Order (Economic Development)

Summary:

The Metrowest Development of Regional Impact (DRI) property is generally located north and east of the Florida Turnpike, south of Old Winter Garden Road, east of South Apopka Vineland Road and west of South Kirkman Road (+/- 1,781 ac.). The applicant is requesting to rescind the Metrowest Development of Regional Impact (DRI) Development Order (DO), as allowed by Section 380.115(1)(b), F.S.

Applicant and staff research, along with findings from an earlier 2015 DRI DO amendment, confirm that all required mitigation has been met and these findings are consistent with pertinent Florida State Statutes requirements to rescind a DRI Development Order.

The request to rescind the Metrowest DRI DO (DRI2017-00001) was approved by Municipal Planning Board on June 20, 2017 and the MPB recommendation was approved by City Council on July 10, 2017.
