FY 2017-2018 School Resource Officer Program Agreement

Summary:

Under a joint program with the School Board of Orange County, the Orlando Police Department will provide uniformed School Resource Officers to elementary, middle, and high schools in the city. These officers may teach classes, provide a uniformed on campus presence, and perform general liaison functions.

Recommended Action:

Approval by the City Council authorizing execution of the Agreement by the Mayor, subject to review by the City Attorney's Office.
