Subject:Parking Agreement between City and University of Central Florida (UCF) for Downtown UCF Campus Construction.
Summary:

The City owns a surface parking lot at 388 W Livingston St located near UCF’s downtown campus.  UCF is in need of parking on a temporary basis until the campus construction is completed.  The City proposes to allow UCF to use the parking lot for its students, faculty, administrators, guests and invitees pursuant to the terms and conditions contained in the attached Parking License.  

The term of the License will be approximately two (2) years commencing on August 9, 2017 and ending on July 31, 2019The term may be extended at the City’s discretion for a period of up to one (1) additional year.  There will be no fee charged for the use of the parking lot however, UCF will be responsible for security, insurance, maintenance and repairs, utilities and landscaping.  Either party may terminate the License upon thirty (30) days prior notice.

Recommended Action:

Approval of the Parking License Agreement and authorization for the Mayor/Pro Tem and City Clerk to execute the same, substantially in the form attached, and authorization for the Real Estate Division Manager to exercise and execute the extension of the term as referenced herein,  all subject to the review and approval of the City Attorney's Office.
