In 2011, the Orlando City Council approved an Agreement which allows the William R. Boone High School scholastic rowing program (Braves Rowing, Inc.) to use the boathouse and dock at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake as it's base of operations.

Since then, the rowing program has operated with great success. Youth and members of the Board wish to come before the Orlando City Council to speak about the program's success and to thank the City for it's support. 

Mayor Dyer will ask Lisa Early to introduce members of Braves Rowing Inc. After making introductions, Lisa Early will call upon Braves Rowing Inc., including youth, parents and board members, to come to the podium to say a few words, after which they will pose for photographs with Mayer Dyer and Commissioners Sheehan and Ings.
