Employment Agreement with Donald Michael Vinson as Construction Inspector I with the Project Management Division

Summary:
The Project Management Division is responsible for providing construction management and inspection services for City infrastructure projects. Current full time staff members are fully committed to projects already under construction. An additional $12 million worth of upcoming construction projects will require staffing for inspection services on a short term (2 year) basis. Mr. Vinson will fill one Construction Inspector position. These positions are included and funded in the FY 16/17, FY 17/18 and FY 18/19 budgets as full-time, contract positions. This agreement is for a two-year period, beginning on or about July 11, 2017 and ending on or about July 10, 2019.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: Cost is budgeted in Cost Center CIP0004_C, Project Management Division.

Recommended Action:
Authorize the Mayor to execute the subject agreement with Donald Michael Vinson, Construction Inspector I as noted above and subject to review and approval of the City Attorney's Office.
