Petition for Voluntary Annexation- 4900 Hoffner Ave. (ANX2017-00001)(Economic Development)


The applicant is requesting the voluntary annexation of  a+/-0.71 ac. undeveloped property, which is generally located south of Hoffner Ave., east of Conway Rd., and west of Kempston Dr. and is addressed as 4900 Hoffner Ave. The Orange County Future Land Use designation of this site is Office and the associated Orange County zoning is A-2.

The applicant is requesting annexation with a future land use designation of Office-Low Intensity and zoning of O-1 with the Aircraft Noise (/AN) and Conway Road Special Plan (/SP) Overlays. This property is to be incorporated into the abutting Orlando Drum site. The subject property is contiguous to City limits; and if annexed, will not create an enclave. No plans have been submitted with this request.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: The Fiscal Impact Statement (FIS) will be submitted with the ordinance for annexation, pending City Council's acceptance of this Petition for Annexation.

Recommended Action:
Direct the City Attorney to prepare an annexation ordinance for consideration by City Council and authorize to initiate a Growth Management Plan (GMP) amendment and initial zoning for the subject property.
