Release and Termination of Southern Gateway Developer's Agreement
Summary:

The attached proposed Release and Termination of Southern Gateway Developer's Agreement would terminate and release that certain Southern Gateway Developer's Agreement by and between the City of Orlando and Southern Gateway Corporation, dated September 1, 1997 (the "developer's agreement").

The developer's agreement pertains to approximately 1.172 acres of land in Downtown Orlando, located generally at the southeast corner of the intersection of S. Orange Avenue and E. Anderson Street (commonly referred to as the "CNL-Dickinson" lot). The lot is currently owned by CNL Dickinson, Ltd. The agreement provided for the construction and operation of a joint public-private parking garage and a privately owned mixed-use development.

The development proposed by the 1997 developer's agreement is no longer being proposed by the property owner and the owner seeks termination of the agreement. Any future proposed development will be governed by the City's Land Development Code.
Fiscal & Efficiency Data: No fiscal impact. 
Recommended Action:
Approval of the proposed agreement and authorization for the mayor and city clerk or mayor pro tempore and city clerk to execute on behalf of the city upon final review and approval by the city attorney.
